At Gym Workout Planner, we respect your fundamental right to privacy. We believe that your workout statistics, lifting PRs, bodily measurements, and health information are deeply personal. Our application is built from the ground up on an offline-first, zero-cloud-telemetry model.
This Privacy Policy describes the minimal information processed when you download and use Gym Workout Planner on Android and iOS devices.
2. 100% Local Device Storage
All data entered into the application remains stored strictly and exclusively on your local device hardware (utilizing local secure preferences and local databases). This includes:
- User Profile Data: Your name, age, height, weight, and chosen training days.
- Workout Routines: Generated workout plans, custom user routines, and exercises selected.
- Lifting History: Completed workout timestamps, elapsed durations, and set completion markers.
We do not maintain or transmit your personal fitness data to remote cloud servers, databases, or third-party storage buckets. If you are disconnected from the internet, the entire core app continues to function seamlessly.
3. Zero Third-Party Analytics & Data Brokers
We do not collect, sell, lease, or distribute your personal health data to data brokers, credit agencies, or behavioral commercial analytics platforms. We do not incorporate invasive telemetry SDKs designed to fingerprint or track your identity across different applications.
4. Advertising & Google Mobile Ads (AdMob)
To support ongoing free development and continuous updates without charging costly monthly subscriptions, Gym Workout Planner integrates Google Mobile Ads (Google AdMob) to display Banner Ads and optional Rewarded Video Ads (e.g. to unlock individual workout sessions).
Google Mobile Ads may automatically collect pseudonymous device telemetry strictly in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy, such as:
- Pseudonymous advertising identifiers (e.g., Google Advertising ID / IDFA).
- Diagnostic crash reports and connection state metrics.
- Approximate coarse location derived from IP address for regional ad delivery.
Crucial Guarantee: No fitness data, workout logs, body metrics, or routine configurations are ever shared with Google AdMob or advertising networks.
5. Device Permissions Required
The application requests only the minimal system permissions required to execute its core fitness utility:
- Network State & Internet (
android.permission.INTERNET,android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Used solely to check active internet connectivity before loading video ads. - Screen Wakelock (
android.permission.WAKE_LOCK): Used while an active workout is in progress so your screen does not dim or lock mid-set. - Audio Playback: Used to emit acoustic countdown beeps and rest timer completion tones.
6. Data Ownership & Deletion
Because all your data is stored locally on your device, you retain absolute ownership and control:
- Editing: You can edit your age, height, weight, and routine configuration at any moment from the in-app User Profile and Settings page.
- Deletion: You can permanently erase all stored application data by going to your device's Settings → Apps → Gym Workout Planner → Clear Storage / Clear Data, or by uninstalling the application.
